Heron Hill Retreat is a place of peace and rest . . . and adventure.
Located just minutes from Glendale Lake Marina and Prince Gallitzin State Park, Heron Hill sits on 1.5 rolling acres featuring beautiful rural views from every vantage point. The house is spacious but cozy, decorated in a family-friendly style inspired by our Christian faith. It offers 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, a fully-equipped kitchen and a peek-a-boo lake view from the picture window in the living room. Evening and rainy day entertainment is made easy with a theater room in the basement and a pool table/game room on the main level, while the yard offers a fire pit and room for yard games or running off childhood energy. For those who prefer to simply relax and enjoy the beauty of God's creation, plenty of outdoor seating is provided.
The rental includes use of two single kayaks and one tandem kayak located in the rental racks at Range Road boat launch. Pontoon boats are also available for rental from Glendale Lake Marina. Hiking maps of Prince Gallitzin State Park are at the house. The trails range from challenging to family-enjoyable and provide a chance to explore the woodlands and areas around the lake. Several offer excellent lake views.
Many attractions are within a reasonable drive of the house, including the cities of Altoona, Johnstown, and State College. However, one need not travel far to discover sites of historical and cultural interest. Outdoor enthusiasts will have no trouble finding ways to fill their time. Just relaxing and reconnecting with family and friends is highly encouraged!

"I had a wonderful stay at this lake house. It is very convenient to Prince Gallitzin State Park and Glendale Lake. You can see the lake from the large bay window in the living room. The house is spacious and suitable for families, friends, and children. It is in immaculate condition. I liked particularly that it had a pool table and a fantastic theatre room.
